Review by hotel critic
As a wildlife conservationist and safari guide from Nairobi, Kenya, I recently sought some tranquility and respite at Spice Palace Hotel. Nestled in Stone Town, the hotel's serene environment and proximity to the airport were indeed convenient. The shared lounge and outdoor swimming pool offered a relaxing escape after days of adventure in the bush.I indulged in the spa services, melting away the stress of city life. The multilingual staff was accommodating, ensuring a seamless stay. The sun terrace provided a peaceful spot for unwinding, overlooking the vibrant streets below. The room's cleanliness and comfort were satisfactory, although the bathroom emitted a faint odor. While the karaoke noise from nearby venues occasionally disrupted the peace, the overall ambiance was soothing. The rooftop restaurant's cuisine was decent, complementing the picturesque views of Stone Town. Despite minor setbacks, Spice Palace Hotel offers a decent retreat for travelers looking for a balance of relaxation and exploration during their East African adventures.
